Los Angeles

This massive sprawl of a city can keep you trying new restaurants, hikes, and shops for years - and where you go will usually depend on what neighborhood you're in and if it's rush hour.  But sometimes it's worth getting out of your bubble and checking out a new pocket - you never know what (or who!) you'll find!

Cafe Birdie

This Highland Park hotspot is worth the hop to the east side.  The neighborhood bistro vibes make you feel like a regular seating in your favorite, cozy booth, and the food is familiar but inventive enough to be interesting.  Plus it's right next door to Highland Park Bowl, LA's oldest bowling alley with specializing in craft cocktails and cool lanes.
